I have a significantly higher chance of muttering “Wtf” while reading Kafka and Lovecraft. That is why I love them.

It makes me feel like my own writing makes a little more sense, as slippery and bizarre and vaguely poetic as it tends to be. But really though Kafka wtf??? Lol -
