About Amy

LitRx stands for Literature Prescription. It's a marketplace for used books, stuff you want to write with and write on, & special items to enhance your desk space and reading experience. inspired by the eclectic clothing stores of BC, run by Amy Park, a local editor and internet nerd.

The goal of the bookshop is to connect people with used books from across BC. I'll comb the Okanagan for old and interesting tomes, and in the future I will provide a shop-front for your old previously-loved books to be consigned. Combining the fun of treasure hunting through old bookstores with a lifelong love of the Internet.

One day I hope to be able to invest in stocking up the books in this store to make my dream for it become a reality. As of now I'm showcasing titles from my personal collection to give you a glimpse of who I am and what my interests are, while offering collections of stationery and desk items.

So grateful for this moment in comp the other day :) sorry for the blur, I was trying to catch it before the match started.

We held the first point of Numbani on defense. While I was saying “good job team we got this” during prep for attacking, Dragonmaster decided to say “we don’t need a girl to be our leader”

… Ummmmm…

I didn’t say anything. I was just stuck with my eyebrows raised. But the rest of my team jumped in right away to say:

- that was not nice
- what does male / female matter?
- I don’t think we would have been able to hold that without the callouts
- why don’t we be positive?
- she can lead, great call outs

Ha ha! This is what Jeff was talking about… The community taking responsibility for harassment.

I deal with a lot of harassment on overwatch and have noticed this pattern: when teammates say nothing, or join in, the harassment gets worse and worse and the game goes down the drain. But when people turn their backs to the harasser with even the bare minimum of disagreeing with their words, it helps so much to keep things going well for the game (not to mention the effect it has on the mind of the person being harassed….)

So yeah! Shout out to my team from the other day for being awesome.
